How effective is this tool? Very effective, particularly with graphics files. In my tests using its standard compression, it reduced graphics files by approximately 90 percent on average. FILEminimizer Suite shrank dozens of photos with little to no perceivable quality loss.

FILEminimizer Pictures is an extremely easy to use application and the results are very nice. Images compressed up to 82% look as good as the original. If you need a way to compress the size of images to publish online or email to others without losing the originals quality this does the trick.

FILEminimizer Office sports a terrific interface (better and fresher than WinZIP's) and reduced a 3.17MB Word file down to 0.77MB. The same file in WinZIP dropped to 2.7MB.

This is a very impressive program. We're real big on "ease of use". In fact, programs that are hard to use make our eyes glaze over and we become listless and bored. You start recording a video ALLCapture by clicking on a button labeled "Record". That's definitely easy to use.

We reduced a 21 megabyte PowerPoint presentation on travel to Guatemala to 1 megabyte by using a Windows utility called FILEminimizer Office. That's a 96 percent reduction. The presentation looks exactly the same as the original and can be sent through the Internet as a regular e-mail file. When we tried it with a presentation that included video and sound, the reduction was 84%.
